Guidelines for Inaugural Lecture at ECE

The inaugural lecture is offered to new professors/professor (docents) within the first six months after employment or promotion.

  • Scheduling: Must take place in room 5122-122 on a Monday-Thursday afternoon.
  • Invitations: Maximum of 70 participants (internal and external). The Secretariat sends invitations to ECE employees and relevant companies (guided by section leaders).
  • Communication: Announcement via LinkedIn and article (KOM).
  • Venue and catering: The Secretariat assists with booking. ECE covers catering up to DKK 75 per person. If other beverages are desired, the professor/professor (docent) must provide them.
  • On the day: Student assistants can help with table setup, flowers, and catering. The Secretariat does not provide assistance on the day.

Professor’s/professor (docent’s) responsibilities: Inviting external guests, handling IT for the presentation, and bringing any additional beverages. For further information, contact the ECE Secretariat ece@au.dk
