The department has a post office where packages can be sent and received from. It is also here that you will find various office supplies available.
The post office is located in room 104 in building 5125.
Mail is collected by the Internal Mail Service, and taken to the university administration who stamps and send it the same day.
For shipment of mail at Katrinebjerg you place your letter/package on the external mail tray, named "Udbakke".
Letters will be delivered 3 to 5 working days after delivery to PostNord.
If it is absolutely necessary for your letter to be delivered tomorrow, you can send it as a ‘Quick letter’.
Write the letter ‘Q’ on the top centre of the envelope, and Internal Mail will take care of the rest.
You can send letters/packages to Foulum via Internal Mail, who collects all the mail to these locations and send them all in one shipment.
If you wish to send mail from Herning, you can place your letter/package in the blue box labelled “Post”.
The blue box is on the table in the mail room, which is located behind the reception by the main entrance.
If you deliver your mail before 14:00 on workdays, your letters will be shipped the same day as the regular mail (former known as B-brev)
The individual employee is responsible for the shipment of their own letters/parcels.
When shipping a package to a private address, you must put a sticker on the package with the receiver’s mobile number and/or email address.
Internal Mail will enter this information when they create the shipment, so that PostNord is able to send the receiver a track & trace number. The sticker will be removed by Internal Mail before shipment.
To ensure correct distribution, the receiver must make sure that letters/packages for ECE are marked clearly with:
Please be aware that both letters and packages delivered to ECE's locations must be picked up as soon as possible after delivery. If you are not at campus on the day of delivery, you can ask a colleague to pick up your mail.
Staff located at Finlandsgade and Helsingforsgade can pick up their mail in room 104 in building 5125.
There is a pigeon-hole for each section at the department. You will find your mail in the pigeon-hole for your section. Packages can be found on the table in the room.
You can use a courier for special shipments.
At Aarhus University you can freely chose any courier you wish to use.

In the post office, you will find available office supplies in the form of writing pens, writing pads, envelopes and post-it notes.
There is a paper cutter and laminator for free use. These must not leave the room.
On the table by the glass wall are buckets for used batteries. These collect the Building Service, when they are full.
Office supplies in AU Viborg (Foulum) can be found in building L30 (8210) and at the Biogas plant.
