Co-determination for employees and students

The department council is where the Head of Department can seek advice from staff and students on all important academic matters concerning the department.

The meetings discuss issues such as research, talent management, knowledge exchange, study environment, education and the department's physical and social framework.

The task of the department forum is to ensure:

  • idea development, quality, transparency and legitimacy in all decisions on academic issues.
  • the department's academic and social identity and coherence.

The Department Council can comment on all academic matters of significant importance to the department's activities and is obliged to discuss academic matters submitted by the dean or head of department.

The Department Council meets twice a year.
