IT travel kit lending to high-risk countries

Instead of using your own AU IT equipment when travelling to high-risk countries for work, you can now borrow an IT travel kit from Nat-Tech IT.

Now, AU's recommendation is to use an IT travel kit instead of own AU IT equipment when traveling to high-risk countries. However, it is important to note that this is a recommendation and not a binding guideline.

What is an IT Travel Kit?

An IT Travel Kit is a set of IT equipment specially designed for business trips to countries with a high security risk. The kit includes a laptop and a mobile phone, both configured to protect AU data from unauthorized access.

When travelling to high-risk countries, we now offer special travel kits containing a computer and smartphone instead of cleaning a regular computer before travelling.

The provisional procedure for lending travel kits at Nat-Tech IT will look like this:

  1. The user applies in the Support system Cherwell that they want to borrow a computer for travel to high-risk countries at least 2 weeks prior to departure.
  2. The user will receive a message incl. a link for booking an appointment.
  3. The user collects the travel kit at the booked appointment.
  4. The user hands in the travel kit to the Helpdesk.
