New unit under AU for handling research data

The planned unit under AU Research that will provide a range of research data management support services has now been established. This unit has been created in connection with the continued development of research support services for the university’s researchers.

To begin with, the Research Data Office – as the new unit is called – will be responsible for administrative support in the following areas:

  • Data Protection (GDPR)
  • Open science (e.g. research data management, open access and ERDA/SIF)
  • URIS (incl. export control and dual use rules)
  • HPC resources (help with applying for access through DeiC)

In addition, the unit will perform the special functions of DPO (data protection adviser) and ‘Authorized Official’ (who signs cooperation agreements with US funders).

For the time being, there will be no changes in how and who you should contact in connection with particular tasks.
