Are you a new employee at ECE?

Access, buildings and parking

Access card/keys

In order to create an access card, we need a photo of you. You choose a suitable photo. Send your photo in jpg/jpeg to ece@au.dk.

When your access card and keys are ready for collection, you will be notified by the Secretariat.

The key is personal (key number is assigned to you) and may not be exchanged with others.

Locations, buildings, etc.

As an employee, you have access to the department's buildings at various locations.

AU also has an app that makes it easy to find buildings and people. We recommend downloading Find AU.

Parking

To use AU's employee parking, you need a parking permit, which you get by registering your car via AU Employee parking.

Employment conditions

Working environment

AU wants an open dialog about the daily work environment, and at AU's Staff Portal you can find key information about the work environment at AU

Holidays and absence

It is the management's wish that all vacation days and all special vacation days should be taken by the end of the vacation year as far as possible. All monthly paid employees earn 2.08 vacation days and 0.42 special vacation days per month.

  • It is very important that you, as an employee, familiarize yourself with the department's guidelines for holidays and absence.

Mobile telephony

If you are given a mobile phone in connection with your employment, you have two options:

  1. Use the phone for work only: If you choose this option, you must fill out an Solemn Declaration and return it to the Secretariat via ece@au.dk.
  2. Use the mobile phone for both work and private purposes: If you choose this option, the multimedia taxation requirement applies.

Inform the Secretariat via ece@au.dk which option you choose. If no notification is given, you will automatically be subject to multimedia taxation.

In either case, it is the general policy of the department that roaming should be kept to a minimum and that you should connect to a wireless network whenever possible. Employees are recommended to use Microsoft Teams or Zoom for international calls.

Councils, boards and committees

At ECE we have a number of councils, boards and committees. Each committee has its own purpose and discuss various initiatives and actions.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Since 2022, ECE has worked hard to create and offer an environment and workplace characterized by diversity, equity and inclusion. Based on this work, a 'training video' has been created that all new hires (and employees) are encouraged to watch.
