Get off to a good start with LinkedIn

This guide will introduce you – as an employee at ECE – to using LinkedIn in a professional context, and how you can contribute to filling up the ECE LinkedIn profile with good stories from our department.

ECE's LinkedIn-profile

We hope that you want to follow the page and update your own profile to reflect that your workplace is ECE.

Add ECE as your workplace

  • Go to your LinkedIn profile and scroll down to the “Experience” section. Here, you can edit your current workplace by clicking on the pen icon on the right side of the workplace (many currently have Aarhus University).
  • This will open a new window where you can overwrite your current workplace (e.g. Aarhus University). Write “Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aarhus University”
  • When you begin to type “Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering”, a dropdown menu will appear and allow you to select the correct profile.
  • When you select “Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aarhus University”, it will become an active link in your “Experience” section.

LinkedIn also makes it possible to have several workplaces at the same time. If you would like to keep your current setting as well, you can click on the “+” icon in the top-right corner and just add ECE as another current workplace.
