Follow-up on the SPOT survey and workplace assessment

A few weeks ago, ECE conducted a ‘SPOT survey’ of the physical work environment to follow up on both the relocation around Katrinebjerg but also follow up in general on the physical work environment at ECE. In this article, you can read more about the most important focus areas from the survey.

The ‘SPOT survey’ is now over and thank you very much for your responses. LSU and LAMU (our Liaison Committee and our Occupational Health and Safety Committee) have now reviewed the report and comments. The most important focus areas will be:

  • Everyone who has made a comment will receive a response.
    Deadline in mid-Sept.
  • A fire drill will be organized for ECE Campus Katrinebjerg.
Deadline at the end of September.
  • Everyone will get an offer of a visit by an occupational therapist to guide to a better office workstation ergonomics.
Deadline at the end of 2023.
  • Follow-up meeting with building operations, so that faults in teaching rooms are corrected. Deadline at the beginning of September.
  • The website Occupational Health & Safety Committee - Dept. of ECE, Aarhus university (au.dk) will be updated regularly in relation to WPA.
  • Initiatives at Birk and AU Viborg will take place in collaboration with the local work environment group.

A positive output from the rapport is that more people are satisfied with the physical work environment at ECE Campus than earlier:

  • Before the relocation: 17 percent were unhappy with the physical environment.
  • After the relocation: 6 percent were unhappy with the physical environment.

If you have any questions, please contact a representative from LAMU: Occupational Health & Safety Committee - Dept. of ECE, Aarhus university (au.dk)

A good work environment is something we create together.
